I’m skeptical about the point of view. It’s like your being told only one point of view about a story that really has nothing to do with us. I understand that European Americans feel a sense of urgency to respond to their Europeans relatives but it has nothing to do with the real Americans.

In one of his recent classes, he argues that Russia is doing what the US did in the past in Korea and Vietnam. And, a friend in China just sent me the video. It’s circulating in China, put out by the Chinese government with Chinese subtitles to influence support for Russia. He might be a good teacher, but I don’t agree with him. What Russia is doing now in Ukrainian is completely different than what the US did in Vietnam and Korea. We were fighting to support the freedom of the south Vietnamese and South Koreans. Russia is not fighting to support the Ukrainians, but rather to suppress them.
