I like exercising my reading muscle by reading books in each of the languages I know. It keeps me thinking in those languages that I don’t use often so that I don’t experience language loss. It’s hard when you use only one or two daily if you are a polyglot. Reading helps me not only keep up my language skills at a certain level but also learn new words or phrases in my weaker languages.

I recently finished "The House in the Cerulean Sea" and it was probably the most magical and lovely book I've read in a long time. I've been struggling due to a heavy loss of a loved one, but this book managed to make me smile and feel genuinely happy. I highly recommend it!

I would love to see a video about different moods and which books fit that mood. Just like what you guys talk about when watching movies. Summer movies vibes, Christmas or movies about a country to get in the mood. That, but then for books ☺️

I 100% relate to the strange feeling you described when reading Mrs Dalloway for the first time! I had the same feeling the first time I read Anna Karenina. When I finished it I felt like I could barely even remember what had happened in the book or what I liked about it but I somehow knew it had changed me in some way and maybe one day I would understand it better

I couldn’t agree more about Mrs Dalloway!
In the memoir department I would recommend Simone de Beauvoir’s memoirs of a dutiful daughter. This is one of those books I read many years ago that I think about often.
I would also recommend Daybook Anne Truitt

Ronja! What a throwback!!! I used to read this book as a child and I used to love it! "Ronja laupītājmeita" - in Latvian. Thank you for reminding me about this

Jen i’d recommend reading ‘my year of rest and relaxation’. I’d love to see your favorites interior design books.

Ronja Räubertochter is basically the BEST book of ALL time! My mom read me that story about 1000x when I was a child…it’s just pure perfection

In the Dream House by Carmen Maria Machado is definitely a must read! A memoir that is so poetic and beautiful, you forget that it's even a memoir at all!

'The Night Circus' is up there in my top 5 favourite reads. It is like an adult version of 'The Faraway Tree' (my favourite childhood book). The backdrop of the beautiful story is in a completely black and white circus set in the 1800's that opens at sunset and each tent transports the visitor to a magical realm or activity. As the backdrop is neutral and timeless, the story is so rich and colourful. Would love to see a video on your fave fiction reads.

I gave a try to “The science of storytelling” based in your description and let me tell you it was spot on, I would have never read it based on the title. Thank you!

Please do more book videos!! You've inspired me so much to read more often, I love your suggestions, they're a little different than most reading lists I've seen.

Please talk more about the subject of being able to understand books better and what to do when you don’t understand a book that you’re reading (and perhaps feel kinda dumb 😕). 🙏🏻

You look beautiful here, and I love that shirt and your jewelry. I loved Virginia Woolf when I first discovered her, but I haven't read Mrs. Dalloway yet, my copy is still sitting on my shelf, unread. Patti Smith is wonderful too. I've read M Train and also her other memoir Just Kids - I highly recommend that you read Just Kids if you have the chance; it was definitely my favorite out of the two memoirs of hers that I have read.

I started to listen to a lot of Youtube videos, but I always watch your ones very attentively, because the visuals always fit and express what you're saying. 👍

I read all the time. I LOVE book reviews. I think you are exposed to quite different books than I usually hear about so I really love that you are doing book suggestions.

This is awesome, thank you so much! I'm Russian and we start (at least how it was back in the days..) reading those heavy pieces of famous Russian literature at an inappropriately early age. Think of struggling your way thru War and Peace by Tolstoy when you're 15. That made me want to burn all books as a whole, for quite some time, but now I'm reading again and in search of some quality read that will stay with you and the book you want to re-read. Thank you again for the recommendations
