I see these guys talking about mileage, I go back and forth to GA in mine, and as of now I have 167000 miles on it, the last time i came back to CT from GA which was the middle of july, I got 29.3 MPG, does not use any oil, love it.

If you haven't had a personal experience in owning the car or have at least ridden in it, your claim to say that it is built terribly is pretty shallow. A guy I used to work with owned one and I rode in it quite a few times. While Corvettes were never known to have exotic and plush interiors or use high-end parts such as carbon fiber, I've never regularly heard 'Vette owners having reliability problems. My co-worker never once had an issue with his Z06.

As a C5 Z06 owner myself I would like to know how this car is terribly built? It's reliable, fast as fuck, easy to fix, get 30MPG on highway trips, and it's a ricer squasher...and i've thoroughly beat many. What the fuck could you possibly have that's better than this at a 20k price point?

I got a 2002 with 30, 000 miles. Love it, I had a 2006 6sp auto and although it was 400hp it wouldn't even get close to my Z06. I bought a new 2002 Z06 and I used it as a SEMA project vehicle, sold it and I was sorry, till I found mine in New Mexico from a collector friend of mine... this car has no "torque control" like the newer car, takes the fun out of them. this z06 will chirp the tires 2nd to 3rd and you are going over

i agree about built quality, but DURABILITY is very good you can see high mileage vettes still run great above 200k miles.
