Compare the Logitech Crayon and the Apple Pencil: which is better for taking notes?

As a college student, I find it sometimes easier to take digital notes rather than having to keep track of notebooks. But spending almost $1000 on a new iPad Pro and Apple Pencil 2 just for writing isn't always a feasible setup for college students.

So I wanted to compare a couple of cheaper alternatives - the original Apple Pencil and the Logitech Crayon - which can give you a similar experience for a much lower price.

I bought the Logitech Crayon for me and my daughter. They work fine with our iPads. I love the flat design of the crayon and the orange accents on the pencil is aesthetically pleasing to me. As you specified, unless someone is an artist, the Logitech Crayon will get the job done.

I have used the crayon and i do recommend it for taking notes and making some sketches its not as good as the apple pencil but on a tighter budget its a great pencil and its also great to use and share in a school environment

My Apple pencil 1 does not roll off the table. It seems it was constructed with an internal asymmetry to prevent rolling. Good feature.

I use logitech pencil and is the best solution for students because the apple pencil costs much more money even though doesn’t something incredible than logitech pencil. Does Anyone disagree?

The Logitech Crayon probably still works without Bluetooth because there is a pen digitizer in the screen. The Bluetooth just enhances performance with things like writing angles, I believe.

Proud owner of iPad Air 3 and Logitech Crayon. I like said device (Crayon) - saddened that it doesn't do pressure sensitivity, but I can work with what I can until I can invest in the Apple Pencil. Thanks for this informative video.

Charging the Apple Pencil 1 on the bottom of the iPad not only looks Explicit, but is a risk if anyone were to push the iPad away..

In Russia - Logitech Crayon costs 6999 rub and apple pencil 8 000 rub - in apple shop - the price reduced for students and tutors ! I prefer to buy apple pencil instead of Crayon, as there is a slight cost difference and nice functionality of apple device

I got the crayon for around $30, and I’m waiting for it to come. I only use it for notes so I don’t need an Apple Pencil, plus I think the texture and size might be better for me. So excited!!

I have the original 10.5 iPad Pro and if I remember correctly I don’t think the Logitech crayon works with it but I really wish it did.
