1978 Yamaha Chappy LB50 Overview and Test Ride

1978 Yamaha Chappy LB50. Overall very good condition. Wanted to film the bike bone stock (aside from gearing the bike from 13/32 to 13/28) to serve as a baseline to compare to when performance modifications are made. Plans for the future are the Polini 70cc kit, MLM Peoples' Pipe, and more gear. Stay tuned!

That one looks really clean! Had one when I was 15 but it did not have those type of pedals it also was a clutchless manual 3 speed and chrome mudguards. Loved it. Every now and then i google them 😅

My parents bought one of those when I was a teenager...I took it all over the place. I also used to tie a Flymo to the back and pull it around to cut the grass lol

Had one as a kid and loved it. Problem with mine is that the muffler would carbon up and couldn't breath. Take it off, heat it up and bang, poke and beat the carbon out. I think mine would go 29-30 mph after tweeting on it. Thanks for refreshing my memories!

i have more fun on my chappy than my bmw r1150gs, just because i can scoot around all day for less than 5 bucks, but its an awesome little fishing rig with the low gear set.

How is it that slow, Even a fz50 goes faster (mine goes 30 and is broken), and i'm not touching the super cub territory
