I make my own cleaning solution and put it in a spray bottle. It’s just 1/2 cup of vinegar, 1/2 cup of alcohol, 1/2 tsp of Dawn, and fill the rest of the bottle with water. It cleans and sanitizes for just pennies. Been using this for over 20 years.

Ammoniated glass cleaner was what we used all the time at a state university for cleaning the restrooms, but they changed the formulas a few years ago. The new glass cleaner was like blue syrup, without drying agents, and it never dried unless you buffed it dry. Soon they realized thet all their glass cleaner only worked as well as water, or maybe not quite as good as water, so they replaced it, with water. Negative ion water. How does it clean?? Just like tap water, almost identically to it, but the salespeople would never admit to it. The sales guy joked with us when he said pencil lead wouldn't come off with the negative ion water, however side by side, pencil lead WOULD come off with uncharged water.
Now that i can choose intelligent cleaning options, i use Windex, vinegar, and lemon scented Mr Clean. Mr Clean is new to me, but mixed lightly, it works great.

For cleaning toilets I use Suave Dandruff shampoo. That stuff contains sulfur which is excellent for disinfecting your toilet

Gotta love Windex! Does anyone have any suggestions on cleaning hard plastic that is part of a step in bathtub for my Grandmother. I have scrubbed with EVERYTHING, but it still looks dirty!

I love this idea for bathroom cleaning and for just 2 people it should be easy peasy but my buddy loves to make messes!!, ug!!!. Anywho, I tried using the men's shaving cream after you posted the cleaning video on using Kool-aid, men's shaving cream but unfortunately it didn't work that great. And I tried 2x's for good measure LOL. I can understand the concept because of the alcohol content but all I kept smelling was shaving cream not the kinda smell I enjoy in my sink or toilet it wouldn't matter at all if it'd at least clean a lot better but no...I'll try the Oxi clean cause I love the smell of cleaning detergent when it leaves behind that nice fresh smell. Love your hacks....I would oppose to spraying the windex in the tank of the toilet. The chemicals in the windex will break down the rubber gaskets & plastic causing you to have to replace all the fixings or get a new toilet. Im speaking from experience!!

Any idea on how to get mascara off blinds and walls? The teenagers thought it would be fine to tie a tube to the fan and watch it spray everywhere... 😒

I also use it to kill ants. Kills 'em and erases their scent trail.
