Looks like a cool project! I've been meaning to invest in a pen turning mandrel to do smaller projects like this.

Good video Mike. I leave an extra 1/32 to 3/64 on the stand blank when trimming. This allows me to place the bracket directly on the blank, causing the razor to just miss the stand base as it swings back and forth, and giving a mesmerizing visual effect. I let the customer know it can be placed in either position, but most place it directly on the blank. My biggest customer is a women's beauty solon, with a picture of mine set nicely on my pedestal sink. A woman who likes "neatness" will gladly by this as a gift for her "Honey". And, "Honey" loves the weight of the brass and the manly shave.

To market these to ladies, the Mach 3 also works for the Ladies Venus made by Gillette. I've actually made more custom razors for women than men. I REALLY wish someone would come out with a kit to fit the Dollar Shave Or Harry's razors. I get asked for those are than anything.
