It's Pretty Clear Now Why 2 Broke Girls Was Canceled

In 2017, CBS canceled its sitcom 2 Broke Girls after six seasons on the air. The show, which starred Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs in the lead roles, was always a bit controversial, as critics accused it of having racist characters and jokes, as well as pushing the envelope too far for a network sitcom.

The ratings weren’t as good as they were earlier in the show’s run, but the show’s creators and stars still wish they could have given fans a proper ending after all that time. Let’s take a look at why 2 Broke Girls was really canceled.

I just recently discovered this show in November 2022 courtesy of Youtube shorts. Now I'm hooked and binge-watching. True, a lot of the jokes consist of very simplistic and instantly-forgettable wordplay but the chemistry between the two leads is dynamite. I am absolutely compelled to follow the progress of these two honeys.

One thing I loved about 2 broke girls apart from jokes, sexual jokes, the sexual innuendoes, etc was their determination to start their own business. These girls were working two jobs and then working on their own business in their spare time to raise money to start up their cake shop. It inspired me to start my own freelance business.

The critics were clearly never broke waitresses. As a real life broke waitress myself, all these negatives points seem pretty realistic and true to life to me. What's wrong with a little explicit, offensive and raunchy in comedy? I cant imagine the critics of today reviewing stand up from the 80s and 90s. Good lord we are some sensitive little souls these days.

This is life like literally the girls were going thru life and anyone who has a dream can relate.. The hard comebacks from max who believes finally she can make it, the naivety from Caroline who evolves into this shark in business, the pervert comments from oleg, earl in his corner with a backstory on every situation, ambitious han who just wants to be successful diner owner with pretty girlfriend, glamorous sophie.. these are character traits of people i know in real life.. Whoever is complaining about the show can suck it (insert Max's face here)

They criticized the actor for being short and Asian... he's not "playing" a stereotype of a "short Asian", when the man was born short and Asian. How dumb.

As an Asian, our accents exist. Why do people want us to pretend like accents don't exist. I find that more offensive than a stereotype on a sitcom. The show mostly makes fun of stereotypical entitled white girls more than it does one Asian man. Quit making problems where they don't exist

I would love to see 2 broke girls have a proper ending, I feel cheated not seeing if Max & Caroline got married & if they made it big with there cupcake company. I think it was one of the best sitcoms on TV I still watch all the reruns.
