I have been getting some questions about the speaker simulator that I've been using on the road with Gino Vannelli, so I decided to do this quick video on this fantastic pedal.

It seems to simply alter your given sound, how dramatically depends on how many parameters you tweak in the settings. You certainly can make it pretty subtle. I'm really digging it!

INdeed! The original rack mount versions of the Torpedo were built for guitarists. This pedal does equally well with you EADGBE guys... ;)
You can set the EQ for either bass or guitar as you tweak the sounds, too...

Damien, I'm glad I stumbled upon this vid, man. I'm playing a regular gig where they want me to find a way to do direct with my guitar (not bass). I play through an old Fender Concert w/ nothing but a little spring reverb and occasionally overdriving the pre-amp tubes. Have you heard this groovy new pedal used by any guitaritst of the (EADGBE variety)? Thanks for putting this up!!!

Thanks for this video. It's difficult to tell from the audio, do you think you are able to retain the tone of your bass when this pedal is in use, or does it change your tone drastically? I find that with cab simulation plug-ins (like Recabinet and Mark Studio), too much colour is added to the dry signal so the results are always a bit over the top. This pedal seems to allow for a bit more subtlety, which might make it better for studio use.

Don't buy one I wasted over $500 on this thing it never left my house and I turned it on one evening and the screen instantly went dark and it never worked again. On top of the thing cooking itself while never leaving the safety of my home the company thinks they're entitled to your personal info home address email address phone number and demand it for MANDATORY updates and firmware when you try to copy impulses to it. That's like requiring a new computer chip for your car when you try to put gas in it in my eyes. Stay away from two crooks they sell garbage.
