What the fuck!!!! I am 29 years old and when I was a kid, this song by David Guetta- the world is mine was really popular. So today I played this song by Simple Minds for the first time ever and during the first few seconds I was like "holy shit was every single dance song of the early 2000s some sort of remix/cover/sample of an 80s song????!!!"

I was at University in England when this came out. Any casual walk, through one’s own Hall of Residence, going outside and walking across campus and into another Hall, would result, on the way, in hearing snatches of at least three different tracks from this album being played. It was a hot summer and this was the soundtrack, . For everyone, everywhere, in that summertime. When I hear this now, it’s all I can do, not to weep.
