Board Certified Prosthodontist and Board-Certified implant Dentist, Dr. David McFadden, discusses the differences between
Implant Bridges that have no pink material (fake gums) whatsoever and those that do, and WHY some must have it. Many variables involved and he explains them all in detail.

Many offices CALL the All-On-4 prosthesis is a (fixed) Implant BRIDGE, but it’s not; it’s a (fixed) Implant DENTURE. (Links to videos about this topic are listed below)

I just found you after checking out reviews of 10s of other implant dentists and studying the subject for a length of time already. I am not there yet financially, but once I have saved up enough to make a full mouth restoration happen, it will be at your practice, even though I live in Florida. Thank you for explaining the process and options in so much detail. No other dentist does that. I can see why people rate you so highly on every review site..

You’re literally the ONLY doctor talking about this. I just had my upper full arch done in Ann Arbor Michigan and they did the fixed bridge. You helped me figure out what I needed to ask and advocate for, thank you.

Hello Dr / thank you for your upload / I am going through a terrible stage in my life - as I was assaulted last year which resulted in my upper two front teeth removed - and the lower four front are not in great shape as they were also impacted / so I will have to get them removed most likely in the coming years / it has destroyed my smile and ability to vocalise like I used to - which has shattered my life - and sense of well being - I have been diagnosed with severe periodontitis- I am wondering do gums have to be completely pink to receive a form of treatment?? Or can it still be possibly not to get a lasting effective result while still having poor gum health / as I think it may also be hereditary as I cannot really remember ever having pink gums - well maybe only as an infant to adolescent but even then I am not sure if i had great gum health - it has been about 18 months since teeth were removed - and i am also worried about the length of time it has been and damage done by denture - which i have been wearing for about 10 -12 months .. i have a partial denture for my front two upper which attach by hooks on my canines . but i sincerely hope to get optimal treatment to bring back my bite force and ability to vocalise - do you think there will be a possible avenue / that is not on the extreme end of costing / thank you for your time - i hope to hear back from you

Will tissue grafting be enough to 'build' your natural gum or papilla?

There are lot of disadvantages of doing cases like how you are suggesting.. there is a reason we use multiunits and tissue level prosthesis.. morden concepts of full mouth implants avoids bone grafting in the sinus region avoiding cantilevers by placing pterygoid implants thus decreasing waiting time and also chances of implant failure /graft failure.. bone level connection is not always advisable..
