If the NHL is gonna give Matthew Tkachuk a two game suspension for an accidental elbow while protecting the puck along the board then this warrants at least two or three. This was an illegal slash on a player nowhere near the puck and it was a clear case of intent to injury. But it is Sidney Crosby so I doubt anything will come of it.

I read somewhere that this play is legal as long as you yell "Ball tap!" first, unless you're Crosby; then you don't have to.

I remember a game a few years ago. It was December 7th 2013 or something like that pens vs bruins. It was a really dirty game overall(the same game that Thornton dragged Orpik *I think* down to the ice and punched him a few times if anyone remembers that) and I vividly remember Crosby tripping Marchand in the neutral zone and as he was down Neal came and kneed him in the face hard. I just remember finding it so funny because it looked like they planned it out beforehand and tag teamed him right in front of the bruins bench.
