5 Miles of Hell World Record! - 36:23 on the modded YZ250

Start - 1:33
Crux - 9:10
Finish - 37:56
Needed to make another attempt at 5 Miles of Hell after all the bike mods. It was for sure easier this time for two reasons. First off, the weather as great this time and I also had somewhat of an idea where I was going this time.
What really impressed me was how fast I did it the first time. If you've ridden this trail before, you know how rugged and relentless this terrain is.
I can't even count how many times I've tried modding the YZ since my last attempt that was essentially bone stock! I made a massive change for this run and it was the most positive mod in the right direction!! I did however have one big major issue on this attempt. For some reason the power valve wasn't actuating at all. I had been doing bike work most of the day before this and knew I was going to fix the governor spring setup after testing it. I should've put more time on the bike at home because it wasn't right.
We got it all fixed the day after filming this and the bike feels great now. I keep getting closer and closer and proud of where it's current status is at. I will share further details of the setup soon! Now that I got the bike even better, already planning my next attempt at 5 Miles of Hell.
Suspension setting was a huge improvement from my last attempt. The guys over at Race Tech and my friend Tyler at Applied Technology have my bike feeling so good right now. I will have Tyler with me this weekend at the Moab Hard Enduro, so it will be good to have him there to make subtle improvements moving forward.
If you're looking to have suspension work done, reach out to Tyler at Applied Technology and let him know I referred you.
For those asking what tires I'm running. It was the IRC 120/100 JX8 in the rear and 90/90 VX30 in the front.
