I was a proud uni student volunteering at the Sydney 2000 Olympics it was the best 2 weeks of my life, nothing will ever match the 2000 Sydney Olympics or this incredible song

Cant believe this would be coming up 20 years ago. I remember being a 13 yr old watching the opening ceremony in New Zealand. A time when the world was peaceful. Only a year later 9/11 would happen. 20 years on we are in a pandemic. Life has certainly changed and this song reminds me of a time not so hard.

Such a different time, our last days before 9/11, economy and the world as we knew it was much more stable. Emotional music like this was popular back then to. Just imagine where we’d be if this way of life continued and 9/11 never happened.

I was 11 when I listened this for the first time but I didn't know the title of the song and had no idea about who was the singer. In 2006 I discovered Tina Arena singing French songs. Last year I was surprised those remarkable unknown girl in 2000 was the same talented woman I listened in French. Tina Arena is great.
