thanks, and ya always make sure you're in the right directory. I'm more used to unix commands. so if windows has something like "ls" it will list the files in your current directory.

Thanks for the amazing tutorial..and here's my question about node.js.... I have searched hundreds of node tutorials and all of them are based on localhost. Let's say if I want to run my script on my personal website, which port should my newly created http server listen to?

no, any text editor can work.. even Notepad++. just save files in the same directory
