Today, I had the pleasure of helping a delightful woman who has the most beautiful home! The moment I set foot in here, I couldn't help but call it the "fancy home" due to its sheer magnificence. As a bonus I also noticed that she had cats and cat food packets filling every corner. However, the passage of time had taken its toll on the cleanliness of the residence, with dust and grime accumulating over the years. Nevertheless, I must admit, the bathroom captured my heart with its captivating dirtyness. Unfortunately, you'll have to wait until next week to witness it! This video only scratches the surface of this marvelous apartment, as there are countless more wonders yet to be revealed.

I’m struggling with depression and chronic pain, and the first thing I did when I started earning ENOUGH money to afford something extra outside of my bills was a cleaning lady. Before I hired her my house looked awful (it wasn’t the same as the one in the video, but I was getting there). I still have days when I’m incapable of basic maintenance but I do my best to clean up BEFORE my cleaning lady comes so she doesn’t have to deal and see my real mess, in a way knowing that she comes motivates me to clean up out of respect for her.

That said, when I had it the worst, and the apartment looked really bad, I was so embarrassed, I would send photos to cleaners from an anonymous profile, and they would either reject the job or would give me such a huge price, I wouldn’t be able to pay then… So I would give up and stuff would continue piling up, until one lady agreed and she was very kind, we cleaned it together. Although she’s not working as a cleaner anymore, which I’m very sad about, she still calls me from time to time and checks on me and I do the same. I will never forget her kindness and how she never judged me when I judged myself the most.

You clean a filthy house FOR FREE and some people still complain for not purchase a new mattress? If the house owner let her house to reach this point of filth, it's her responsibility to purchase a new one, not yours Auri. You do an amazing job.

People suffering from depression aren’t always grateful for help. When you feel fundamentally abandoned, you can get to a point where help feels like something somebody - anybody- owes you. Sometimes helping a depressed person doesn’t get you gratitude until they’ve recovered enough to have a healthier view of themselves. I’m really impressed that Aurii can handle this role, knowing that. It isn’t easy.

I look after a 2 year old little boy and he always asks me if he can watch "big, big mess then all clean!" He loves the before and after pictures 😂

I'm so glad you were able to help this lady and her kitties. I was wondering at first if she had money, why she didn't hire a cleaner, but once you said she was embarrassed for them to see, I understood. Hopefully now that everything is clean, she can hire someone to help with maintenance. :)

Just remember Auri, cleaning the homes for free is already a great kindness and buying literally any gifts is going above and beyond out of the kindness of your heart. Do not listen to people who say you should have bought this or that. I doubt they’d have the same generosity to do what you do.

I LOVE that you aren't a perfectionist and don't "Do it all." Good enough is great! And so much better than it was before. Perfection as a goal makes people not try at all. It is very realistic that you don't do everything. What you do is fantastic.

Auri I can’t believe you don’t use better PPE. Like full masks and filters. Cat Urin and rotten meat can have fungi which goes into the lung, listeriosis, aspergillosis etc. It’s really dangerous and some infections like fungi don’t show immediately. As a doctor I am really worried about you!

you don't need to buy everything each home owner lacks. you cleaning their homes is an act of kindness that should be appreciated. you buying a few things for those homes is beyond kind and people should appreciate that, not bring you down because you didn't buy this or that.
