Steve Kerr Buries Half-Court Heave at the Buzzer (1992 Playoffs)
Показать описание
May 2, 1992 - Cleveland Cavaliers guard Steve Kerr made the most of his 11 minutes off the bench, hitting 3-of-4 shots from the field— including this 50-footer—in helping propel his team to a 101-76 win over the Boston Celtics in Game 1 of the 1992 Eastern Conference Semi-Finals.
The Cavaliers went on to eliminate the Celtics in seven games, ending Larry Bird's NBA career on an unceremonious note. Bird averaged 11.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 5.3 assists in four injury-stricken appearances throughout the series.
Kerr played four seasons in Cleveland before stopping over in Orlando and finally catching on in Chicago, where he played a key role in the Bulls' three NBA championships in 1996, 1997, and 1998.
Coincidentally, Kerr went to to work alongside play-by-play voice Marv Albert as a member of TNT's broadcast team in the early to mid-2000's. Albert can be heard calling the game in the clip above.
Moreover, as head coach of the Golden State Warriors, Kerr played his former team (the Cavaliers) in four consecutive Finals series between 2015 and 2018. Kerr's Warriors won three out of four of those matchups.
