Are the Halal Guys really worth the hype?

We have heard a lot of hype about Halal Guys, which originated in New York City. We didn't really believe it until our friends got to try it when they were visiting from Malaysia. Could Halal Guys really be as good as all the rumors claimed? We had to try it for ourselves and see.

Tried it once when I was in NY in 2015 when they're still selling by the roadside. The queue was really long but then I think their kebab suited more the American tastebud than mine. Would love to try again though.

We used to drive from Jersey City, NJ to NY 53rd street just to eat Halal food. Back then this platter was around $6. The line in NY was a minimum 30 minutes and reglardless of cold weather, people use to wait for it. This food is very tasty and still eatting it :)
