I've flown Transavia a number of times, but always from Schiphol Amsterdam 🙂

Both looked pretty good, I guess for me it would be whichever is cheaper on the route I wanted to do. Although the currywurst on Eurowings did look pretty nice!

Transavia has more flights from Amsterdam than from Rotterdam. So not just Rotterdam and Paris as bases.

This specific Transavia 737 (PH-XRY) has unfortunately been scrapped. It is currently being dismantled at twente airport. You will have been on one of the last flights. Transavia is switching completely to Airbus. I have never flown with Eurowings myself. Transavia is a good company, only very unreliable in the summer holidays due to many cancellations.

the scheduling .
HV are starting 2 offload their 738's for new airbus A320's .
HV also fly out of
Eindhoven NL .

I first flew with Transavia in the early seventies of the last century, from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport to Alicante Spain, for a holiday in Benidorm, with my parents, grandfather and brothers and sister. We flew on a Caravelle plane. At that time dictator Franco was still in power in Spain and a holiday by plane was not common back then. We Dutch pronounce Transavia not in the English way, but the Dutch way, the first two a’s are pronounced as ah, just like the English pronounce the last a. The French pronounce it almost the same as the Dutch.

Great video Dom. I’d love to see a review on the Hainan Beijing route from EDI . You could do a transit without visa through to Japan or Korea. Some good deals to be had .

Rotterdam airport is lovely indeed, just the right size, and those insane viewing options! But if you like the way you just walk to the plane without busses there, you should also try Eindhoven airport(also Dutch). They have the same setup, you also walk from the terminal to the planes through gated walkways. It's a bit bigger than Rotterdam, but not much. It is mainly Ryanair and Wizz from there.

I would be happy to take either airline Dom. Both offer a solid product although I agree that EW's EDI-CGN flight was delayed. Yes airlines do like to 'drip feed' bad news ... it's been that way for many decades.
