President Donald Trump promised a 'home run' on Tuesday for his Supreme Court pick. Trump has spoken with eight contenders for the nomination, including one woman, an Indian-American judge and U.S. Senator in the past two days. He said at a West Virginia event after the fact that they were all very 'talented' and 'brilliant' legal minds. 'And we're going to give you a great one,' he said of second high-court appointment in two years. 'And I think you'll be very impressed.' Name-checking his first successful appointment, Neil Gorsuch, Trump told attendees of a salute to service dinner on Tuesday: 'We hit a home run there, and we're gonna hit a home run here.' 'Step by step, we are making America great again,' he added. Judge Amul Thapar (top left), Devoutly Catholic Judge Amy Coney Barrett (top right), and Sen. Mike Lee (bottom) have already spoken with Trump about the vacancy.
