"We Don't Play" is just amazing, and Virus Syndicate's verses were absolutely awesome 🔥

One of my favourites was the MASSIVE Disciple collab along with the Infekt and Virtual Riot collab.

"We Dont Play" is how "Get Lemon" should have sound like imo
great track!

Turtle neck is amazing. The combination of elimate and phaseone's respective sounds works so well and goes hard af. Definitely my favourite on the LP.

The words that you said at the end are so beautiful, thanks for what you do man; my favourite track of the entire EP is: "Disciple - We Don't Play" but is actually at the same level with: "Virtual Riot & Infekt - Das Riddim". 🔥

A work of art. Also the artist that makes all the Disciple album covers since like 2014 is Solid Soul

Btw the brief conversation of that sample in 'Das Riddim' could be translated as:

' Do you have ever been frustrated by something? '
Answer:
' Oh yes, the material aspect of life keeps frustrating me '

Just a little fact

You explain everything so well in detail, and that's what makes you a great reviewer!

As for me, Never Know and Here We Go are by far my faves, though in my honest opinion I didn't dig We Don't Play as much as Get Lemon. Though I love the idea of referencing all the producers and giving each of them their own segment to fill (which is something they should definitely do more often with mega-collabs), the drops themselves just felt kind of underwhelming and empty, and I also found them a bit too short, which left a lot to be desired.

Other than that, this is definitely one of the greatest, if not THE greatest album/LP of this year so far!

I actually didn’t enjoy (as much as I thought I would, it’s still one I’ve added to my library) the infekt and Virtual Riot collaboration especially for Valentin’s standards. The progression feels staggered and awkward, and not the best ideas. would agree that the sounds are quite nice though.

The Fox Stevenson one is also slightly disappointing, a clear of mesh of styles however the main lead is quite distant and lifeless.

Get Lemon 2.0 is one that I overall enjoy however while the ‘producer showcase’ is ingenious, the transitions between that part and the build and such is not very well executed.

Interesting takes, Connor!

IMO this is currently sitting at the best album of the year. Even at its worst, the selections still range from decent to outstanding, and it’s a brilliant show of everything Disciple has to offer.

Here We Go and Never Know stand head and shoulders above the rest, In Your Skull is one of the album’s underrated gems, and I was caught off guard by just how much I enjoyed Rubber Band Boiz and especially Problem considering I haven’t been that enthused by Chibs’ previous work. And god damn, We Don’t Play stands tall as a symbol of everything Disciple stands for. Breathtaking.

I might’ve missed some of the appeal of Das Riddim, though. The double drop feels like it stumbles over itself a bit in its effort to shake up the formula, and I wish Turtle Neck had delivered more on its concept too. Sounds like they took a drop by PhaseOne and a drop by Eliminate and forcibly mashed them together, though it’s still a fun listen.

Overall, I can safely say I’m blown away. Top 5 for me is Here We Go, Never Know, We Don’t Play, Problem, and In Your Skull, though everything is worth a listen in its own right.

I love how in-depth you go with your reviews, although I wish you added more examples in between to demonstrate exactly what you're critiquing! Big ups nonetheless!

Your channel is going to be popular with this kind of content. You're great at reviews, keep doing it. Just an advice, with your channel getting bigger, there will be people thats gonna bring you down and hating on you, just avoid the negativity and keep improving as a content creator. Other than that, it'll probably take a long time for you to actually gain a relevant kind of money from this. i really hope you can make a living out of this because your contents are great. Keep grinding bud!

Never now was amazing. the wobbles were heavy and light as air at the same time. I love almost everything Oliverse puts out and this was no exception. The percussion in the drops was just exceptional and was put together with breaks that hit at just the right time.
