Just ordered Alpine 2 stainless steel pot set. Looking forward to using it soon!

I have 2 of the stainless steel pots & I'm very careful not to pick them up by the handle without a cloth I don't particularly want to get blisters & YES very good cookware highly recommended

The aluminum pots are almost perfect, just wish they didn't have plastic parts were the handle meets the pot.

What about leeching from the aluminium sets?

So the lid of the alpine 2 is also a frying pan? Because the sellers only advertise that this is a lid or a plate. Wanted to be shure before buying becaus the frying pan is a must in a set in our case. Thanks in advance

I do "real" cooking in MSR stainless, and a few other tools, sure, but it can be done.

Aluminium has issues of leeching that leads to Alzheimer's disease, and the nonstick eventually wears out that leads to health/joint problems.
I'd stick with the classic stainless steel. But I wish MSR made bigger pots 3L available without having to buy a whole set. Anything against than 2L isn't useful to me. In the outback, I like to cook a big amount, and eat heavy, so that I can go for longer without having to bust out the stove etc. Or feed another person.

I've got the classic Alpine 2 and dragonfly(versatile with fuel, with simmering capability)

Anyway, I came here to future of the size of the SS Alpine bowl. There's no info anywhere about its volume, or how big it is compared to other pots.

Oh man. MSR you should really fire this dude and redo the commercial. Too many weird pauses and doesn't sound exciting at all.
