Arriving from blazing-hot, humid, loud and flat Texas, I nearly wept at the breath-taking beauty of Flam, Norway. Photos don't do justice to lush green forestry draping the mountains. Waterfalls shoot out of every nook and cranny. Crystal-clear winding brooks follow your every step. Tight switchback roads defy physics. Painted cottages are floating bouquets of color at water's edge. Tiny Flam, Norway may be the most exquisitely sparkling and serene spot on this earth.
