I think this chapter has created some major pathing for how boruto will control his kāma mark. 1. The 9-tails, if boruto’s otsutsuki dna overlaps his previous dna instead of just completely replacing it, theres a decent chance of him having a 9-tails asw as himawari, giving boruto exp. with a “inner demon”; furthermore if it doesnt replace his previous dna, then theres a good chance borutos byakugan awakening will awaken as a hyuga instead of a otsutsuki, and his otsutsuki dna will evolve it to a tenseigan. 2. Orochimaru, specifically the curse mark, boruto gaining the curse mark will give him some footing on better controlling his kāma seal, as the two markings work very similar to each other.
