🙂This is absolutely my favorite piano piece of all time! I am in my seventies. I began piano lessons with my grandmother at five. Then went on to learn from Margurite Lister, affiliated with Sherwood School of Music...and then took a few lessons from a Bill Cowdery in Ohio. However, this man blows me away. I have purchased most of his books....I always dreamed of knowing Chopin. Well, I feel this man is the equivalent or even surpasses him. I love his music... And am learning some of his pieces that I love so much. Some will take a while. Ha!

So far, I have purchased two of this awesome composer's works. I intend to download, at least, one other book. This particular piece The Letter moves me to tears. It is so beautiful!!! I have had classical works move me to tears, especially Prokofiev, and Rachmaninoff, but this is the only piano piece that has stirred such strong emotion in me. This man is phenomenal!! So is his masterpieces. I have played the piano off and on, all my life. Some years were interrupted by life events....My son, Loves the Bell Carol, and wanted me to learn it. I did. And I am thankful that he brought my attention to this phenomenal man's works!!! This is, I have to say, my absolute favorite, so far...

As a teenager and in my twenties (70’s and 80’s) I just loved writing letters and of course receiving them. Occasionally I would use an old Remington or an Olivetti typewriter but I really preferred handwriting them. The high I would get when posting the letters to my sweetheart or receiving his replies was priceless. The Letter, in both its versions, describes that emotion to a T. A magnificent masterpiece. You are pure genius David.
