Actually, it does. Believe me, I thought the same thing as you before I actually saw it because I tend to think that all teenage vampire shows are stupid. But then I actually watched it, and I was pleasantly surprised. It has great character development, relationships between friends and family, and a very good plot. This was a perfect song for the scene.
