Fly hunting tip: Be completely motionless for about 10 seconds once you home in at about 3'' from the fly. Make sure to position yourself at an angle where your shadow deflects from the area containing the fly, as flies can detect shadow movement. If you sneak up on a fly and stand frozen for a couple seconds until it gets comfortable, you can take it before it sees you coming.
