One of the biggest reasons I liked my 180 was its light weight when I heard about the 182 I looked into it and saw they added over a pound to the weight which makes it 10lbs which is what a 50cc class chainsaw weighs so why have a 10lb chainsaw that is half the power of a 50 class chainsaw ?
The whole reason to get a smaller cc chainsaw is to get a lighter chainsaw easier to pack around and use their new 182 makes no sense when their 50cc class chainsaws are the same weight and can do 10 times the work

An observation on how you hold your saw, your left hand thumb should be under the handle giving a firmer and safer grip than having it resting on and parallel to the handle . Stay safe .

A 14 inch arb and a non safety chain wakes these saw alot. These saws for smaller limb wood and smaller sub 8inch trees work good.

I ran the 162 and 182. Probably the worst stock saws I’ve had in the wood. Only because of the good ol EPA. A few mods would set a guy straight on these.
