Wonderful effort starting with an unlikely bike and company that everyone can support and pull for success....made in America, by Americans.  My only issue is the music on  key times when the bike is in motion at speed and competing with or obliterating the exhaust note.   Go Victory and thank you for supporting this, the TT and PIkes Peak efforts!!!!  You have my admiration and respect.

Great effort and a beautiful machine, hope you reach your goal.

Since Gregor Moe's previous record of 167 wasn't mentioned in depth it should be noted it was done with a belt (no easy gearing changes), on the Bonneville salt (tire slippage), unfaired and as oldylr41 mentioned, normally aspirated. An impressive feat and an AMA official record in the 2000-M-AG class.

Kudos to both camps, be cool to see both on the salt next year.

Positive results guys, I like it! Don't let up. Hope before I go for good to see Vic's competing in other venues, it's way past time for it.

Side note: Lloyd at least this one didn't grenade between your legs in the trailer!!

If the bike was coasting for a 1/4 mile before the timing trap you had to have had your number. Great job RSD and Lloydz...godd luck!

I'd love to know what all they actually did to it... maybe what the displacement on the bike was pushed to, how much boost it was running, and any mods they may have done to the stock ignition and injection. I love seeing air cooled engines break into performance competitions again.

Love the fairing on this bike. This was 2 yrs ago what happened to a follow up ? It's a good idea to show Victory performance . Kind of reminds me of my old 85 Suzuki 1150 GSES which had a very nice factory fairing . I had it bored out to 1260 had a V&H welded crank and 4-1 exhaust . Did 160 on it before I let off going down a Wisc. farm road. Anyway I like Victory and I like that they own Indian now . Waiting for those to come out. Whatever you ride Enjoy the Ride !

Videos like this don't need a musical soundtrack particularly when the music is this bad all you need is the sound of the engine. Also did they ever actually do any testing at El Mirage Dry Lake or did they just run up and down El Mirage Rd/Ave P making a nuisance of themselves. The dry lake has an actual 3 mile land speed course.

what's the secret to those front big brakes? i want them on my xc

Roland based the fairing on one of his left over 250GP bits from when he raced the Honda RS250. iirc they didn't do a lot of cutting to it to fit it on the bike.

were you guys still running a stock bottom end?

ya all be needing a larger sprocket on the front and smaller on the rear, turbo loves tall gear, the more you load it with tall gear, the more power it will make = covering more ground  , spray the nos  directly into the compresser side of turbo  at a a angle to where the forcew of the spray wil;l  spin up the turbo, eliminating all lag with the turbo

so much work and time to do what a stock japanese hyperbike can do out of the crate =(.

I love the bike and Victory, but how does it not make more power in stock form? The V-Twin from KTM makes crazy power from the factory with close to 500cc less than the victory. Is it just an inefficiency in the platform of the American style V-Twins?(Harley included)

my goal is to hit the 200mph mark on a naked in the standing mile, should be fun, couple years down the road before I can afford to build a turbo gsxr1100, or zx12 naked to do it on.
