The taxpayers must be very wealthy, because they're going to get to pay for what happened ! If qualified immunity was stopped then 99% of these kids of police actions would end over night !

Really, is anyone surprised.
I just hope all these lawsuits bankrupt the
cities, townships and municipalities, then and
only then will they BE Forced to make drastic
changes and create police accountability laws
as in Colorado

Sounds like all pled not guilty as of January 19 2023 - yesterday…Where are we at with union contract reform? National registration for negligent conduct? Doing away with allowing for cases like this to settle based on trained officers uttering the words “I feared for my life.” Here in Colorado, where are we with making ALL of the changes needed to make sure officers are protecting the community they serve including those they come in contact with.
These officers were not afraid…. So much to the contrary that they went to the site where They killed him to take pictures posing as though they were in the choke hold they used multiple times to subdue him before pumping him full of horse tranquilizer…..
Elijah was unarmed and according to the independent investigation.”police had no grounds to stop him.”
