This is the first time I found myself wanting to use a KVM, primarily due to what I want to do with my multitude of SBCs.

Is it just me, or is it crazy that this costs as much as it does? All it takes is a minute or two to switch everything over.

I have a 4 port PS2 KVM & It's real easy to use 4 PC's separately using the same Mouse, Keyboard, Monitor & Stereo System. It get's it's power from the PS2 or USB connections on the Motherboard. You may need to buy PS2 to USB Adaptors to make it work. it depends on your setup. then it's a simple 3 Key press on your Keyboard to activate the KVM, then press the # 1, 2, 3, or 3 keys to select the cable you got plugged into that PC. I Build my own PC's & having a cable to plug in a PC for testing is great.

If you get a work call, would you be able to hear it still?

I have two separate computers that operate touch screen monitors (HDMI for monitor, USB for touch) One computer uses two monitors, while the other computer uses it's own touch screen. I am wanting to use the same mouse and keyboard for both computers, how do I accomplish this? I don't want to disturb the images on the screens as they are used for navigation, so loss could be crucial at the wrong time. What is the best way to accomplish this?

I want my computer to be installed into my network rack, in a network closet. I want to access that computer from my office desk monitor. But id like to also access that computer from my living room tv.
This isnt nessessary, but it was an idea i had, and i wondered if i could achieve it using a KVM. Or is there a different device i should be looking for?

I couldn't get why KVM needs power, unless for remote..
I use an HDMI video switch (one unit) which is connected to one monitor and a USB switch ( another one) the USB switch plugs in a dongle for a keyboard mouse combo (wireless).
it works seamlessly, I use one monitor for work and 2nd one to switch between work and personal systems.
having a separate USB switch allows me to stay on the system I wish, ie to keep the personal laptop on monitor 2 and still work with monitor 1..
its cheap than big KVM and don't need extra power .. but i don't have a remote and has 2 sets of button to operate ( as downside)

Great vid, Max. Does it keep both computers awake or say after a few minutes you have to log into the computer you switch to?

Can this be connected at the same time without switching? I need both computers connected at the same time.

Hey max, I have a good gaming pc in my gaming room and would like to also lay down and game in another room as I have back issues I need to send it about 30m away. Whats the best option for me? I need a zero latency option that will use 1440p monitor and keyboard and mouse at least if not also audio and more usb... Is this possible?

Does it introduce latency? (input lag) I would imagine it is a yes, Just wondering how BIG that yes is?
