My current take is that if you’re generally satisfied and fulfilled, aging will be less scary and undesirable. But if you’re generally unsatisfied with your life for any reason, you feel like aging is slowly taking away your opportunity to change that.

I agree! I love aging. My body doesn’t so much. But I feel more myself, more comfortable, more patient, wiser, less concerned with what others think. And as a middle aged woman I am no longer an interesting commodity, so I get to be invisible and not feel targeted by men on the prowl and that’s AWESOME!

Very timely. Turned 36 this year, I grew up with my grandparents and one of them passed away last year. I'm visiting them right now, and seeing my grandma grow older and more frail every month is a bit painful, but it's still comforting to be reminded that in the meantime, there are some good things to look forward to :)
