there is no "nose bone" - there is a bony ridge at the top of your nose that is part of the skull, but your nose is made of cartilage and soft tissue. that's why it can change shape over the course of your life.

Ditched my textbooks. Found a spot in the library. Connected to free wifi. Will get a minimum grade of a Pass on my A&P exam tomorrow simply by watching and learning from these Crash Course videos.
Thank you.

For those who feel that Hank speaks too fast, you can lower the speed of the video at the "Settings" button. Btw it sounds like Hank is wasted when you lower it down and it's hilarious XD

yes, we noticed this - it got past our editing process, but would have taken too much time to correct. we will annotate with the correct date.

I just realized, you can make a spear with bones so you could technically die by flying walrus baculum.

If it were not for Hank, I would have sunk a long time ago. He has kept me afloat!! Seriously, all of his videos are excellent! Thank you so much!

Every time I watch one of these I become hyper aware of whatever body part it's about. This week my bones were tingling, or rather my imagination made it feel like they were. I really like learning but I hate feeling uncomfortable like that! XD

As a student radiographer, I've spent the last year learning about the human skeletal system and it's fasinating! If anyone found this video interesting and are wondering what to do with you're life, X-raying bones (and medical imaging in general) is an amazing thing to study!

Hank: super interesting information about bones
Also Hank: *sticks finger in eye socket* FACE BONES! 😂😂😂

This is why I find the series so relatable! ❤❤

"It's like they're basically frenemies." This is why I watch these videos. Thank you, Hank.

I'm so glad you did this episode. I remember learning about bones in college and being very surprised and awed by the amazing part of our lives the skeletal system plays. I feel terrible for those who never took an anatomy class and don't know this, but your video brings it too a greater population. Thank you.

Hank, your performance is grand. I love watching these because I love to learn, yes, but knowing most of it already, I stay for you. Cause you make it all alive and interesting. :D

This reminds me of research I've read about how narrow toed shoes not only stress joints and cause bunions, but can also malform feet during development... bones being built from a cartilage framework gives a pretty clear picture of how this can occur. (I think this also happened with corsets back in the good old days of not breathing.)
