Montessori Introduction to Fractions - Impressionistic Presentation Lower Elementary (6 - 9 years).

In this video, the children are presented with the concept of the fraction (something that is smaller than 1 and bigger than 0, and that the pieces are in equal parts - unequal parts are called fragments).

Ideally, children will receive this presentation in the Lower Elementary (6 - 9 years) classroom - usually by the age of 7.5 - 8 years old.

It is impressionistic so that the children will remember the concept readily and without difficulty.
