I did this for a while. You make some money, but not enough. If you live in a place where you're lucky to find things of value for cheap or free, you can possibly make it work full time. What they don't mention on these videos is that first, it's a boring job. Second, just because you see some items on ebay or poshmark for a certain price, does not mean it will sell for you at that price, if at all. I still have boxes and boxes of items sitting in my storage that never sold from 3 years ago when I stopped. Last but not least, dealing with customers. I can't count how many refunds I had to give that I had to take a loss on for reasons out of my control, or customers scamming me. I'd take a trade job over doing this any day of the week.

Please don't just quit.. where I live i lost my job and d started doing this album where I live the couple thrift stores here are so overpriced and anything that's of value is snagged up by the loads of other resellers, and most yard sales want ebay prices for thier stuff, and along with the millions of ebay sellers and other platform sellers.. so please don't just quit your job to become a full-time reseller, it's not a shortcut to making bank. Sure you'll make some money but it's not going to make you 100k.. maby some people yes but I'd say not many.

You have to be very good to make that sort of money, also heavily depends on your area, my local stores have had hardly any new stock in the last month and 90% of it is crap like supermarket own brand clothes and other stuff no one would want used never mind enough profit to resell.

Ya and then you get scammed by the buyers saying the item isn't as described and they send you back old shoes and ebay always backs the buyer not the seller. Giving ebay the middle 🖕

Reselling clothes is dead asf lmao, all that work to make a couple bucks. What they don’t tell you is, the first 6 months are the worst. You have to start pushing a shit ton of volume to even sustain, let alone profit. I started flipping couches 3 months ago and have made more doing this than I ever came close to with eBay, and any other job I’ve ever had.
