My name is Megan Brach and I have been teaching English as a second language for four years. Learning English isn't fast nor is it easy but I'm going to help you get started. Are you ready? Let's learn English. English Pronunciation: The "Th" sounds: Pronouncing consonants isn't much easier. For example, you have a th and a th but they make different sounds. How do we make a th? Put your tongue behind your top teeth and breathe. Now here you're going to use your vocal cords. So practice. This, that, there, father. Now, you're going to do the same thing but do not use your vocal cords. So, think, three, thank you, thoughtful. Now you've learned the difference between the two th sounds.

I've spoken English since I was a kid but I realized 7-8 months ago I couldn't pronounce things with 'TH' in it. I remember trying to say Thick but it sounded more like d i c k. I also realized a couple of weeks ago I tried to say breath but it sounded more like brief.

Can you guys pronounce “what's" plus the th sound? For example: “what's this", I mean, I actually can pronounce both th sounds, but, I can't speak fast when i do those sounds.

I'm another person from the US and I have issues pronouncing certain th- sounds. Like Thor, I keep pronouncing as four >.<
