Straight braid will be easier for a pike to cut off. I recommend 30+ pound flouro or mono leader

You need to use a fluorocarbon leader. I have been fishing many times and using straight braid will dramatically affect whether you can catch fish or not. Try heavier pound line or even a clear wire leader. Hope that helps!

FYI, a Pike can slice through braid almost as easily as mono. Use a fluorocarbon or wire leader.
