When you are an island as small as Britain, it helps to have an effcient highly trained millitary. Quality over quantity.

From a UK point of view its not about proving who is best or trying to show anyone up, its simply about showing that every plan, no matter how carefully conceived, has its weaknesses and backdoors that may be exploited. If you know about those weaknesses, you are prepared....if not then you remain vulnerable to attack. I'm proud that we showed up these weaknesses and thus made our united defences stronger and more resilient to attack.

The British Vulcan bomber was in a class of its own.. Like the Spitfire, Harrier Jump Jet & Concorde.. Was a very special plane! 👍🇬🇧🇺🇸

The last flying Vulcan done a lap of honour of the UK a few years back .. While passing the USAF base at RAF Lakenheath she was given an honour guard by US F15s .. respect from all aviators involved & thank you.

I like the fact that in Skyshield 1 the USA used 350 defensive fighters and 7 Vulcans got through. In Skyshield 2 the USA used 1800 fighters and still 7 Vulcans got through!
