The Confiteor

I confess to almighty God
And to you, my brothers and sisters,
That I have greatly sinned
in my thoughts and in my words,
in what I have done and in what I have failed to do,

Through my fault, through my fault,
Through my most grievous fault;

Therefore, I ask blessed Mary ever-Virgin,
All the Angels and Saints,
And you, my brothers and sisters,
to pray for me to the Lord, our God. Amen

as a Catholic, I think this is one of the most powerful prayer. sometimes, when I encounter situations that I need to depend myself that I am right and the other is wrong, I pray this my fault....my grievous. The atmosphere changes. I start to ask forgiveness for I have greatly sinned....to prove that one is right could be one snare of the devil. Remember that Lord Jesus has suffered for our sins. He inherited our sins, I love praying this because of our "fallen nature" with different grades of sins in us and around us, most of the time, we are not aware, sins of omission, etc. Thank you for posting this. Kindly please pray for me, for I have greatly sinned...through my fault....bro. O
