I love the intro, a tiny bit of context without gameplay goes a long way to understand more nuances of the decks.

Im surprised we arent seeing more Anoint with Affliction, the card is BIS vs Mono red fling decks because it hits all of their fling targets and the exile effect ensures they don't get the death triggers.

It was nice to see you address that Emrakul comment. Truthfully, it's hard to tell how much you guys are considering during those videos as an audience member. Even though we know you are a thoughtful player, it's difficult to tell how much thought you put into your decision making if it's left unsaid

Thoughts from a Golgari main; I play it pretty much exclusively beceause I'm F2P and it's my best ranked-capable deck atm.

I can see why Shelley goes. I've often found myself in situations where I don't care about her, say an opponent chooses to remove her instead of a Priest and I think "Oh, good, I get to keep drawing."

I saw a lot of Boros tokens, Bandit/Innkeeper's Talent, and Simulacrum Synthesizer in Plat-through-Diamond. If you're seeing a lot of those in queue, run a couple copies of Tranquil Frillback and/or a Nissa, Awakened Animist at the top end. Or even just three Frillbacks. They also completely shut down Emergence and Persistence, and the lifegain still works against mono-red.

For the longest time, I thought Virtue was a nonbo in this deck because of Cottage and Frillback, but the Enchantment is just gravy. The real value is in hitting Face Mouse with it.

There are many other ways to play Golgari, but I like this framework because you basically just tell your opponent "I will annihilate every value engine I see from you, good luck doing the same to me - you'll lose otherwise." Feels good.

First game I played with this deck I got paired against mono red. Watching them stare at Glissa for 3 turns was the best feeling ever. This deck pieces up mono red with ease

Glissa’s really tough to deal with, yeah. I run a budget Gruul Aggro list that does have removal spells… but I’ve gotta find something to Bargain to Torch the Tower first (which is kinda tough).
