I just don't see this having a significant impact. Trump definitely should not give Kennedy a Cabinet position though. His early campaign had some overt Russian support, which Trump really needs to distance himself from.

Kennedy's voters are motivated by disdain for the 2-party system and an equivalent disdain for both political parties. It wasn't about Kennedy's vision for the country. He was the alternative to two equally hated options. Even if some are partial to one candidate or the other in his absence, most will probably either stay home or leave the top of the ballot blank, which is what they did in 2016 and 2020.
