Jonah (Nick Antonyan) of Vlog Squad fame has opened up his own family-run restaurant in North Hollywood called Jonah's Kabob. Naturally, I had to try it so you don't have to.

I love that this seems like a legitimate passion project and a serious attempt at building a restaurant brand, rather than some half-assed attempt at a youtuber tie-in business. And major kudos to him for actually working there and being hands-on as a restaurant owner.

It seems a lot more like he's using his platform to promote his restaurant. He seems to be really passionate about this, seeing as it's a real restaurant and he is actually working at the restaurant. I don't know anything about him to be honest, but good for him!

The Jonah thing reminds me more of Jacksepticeye more than Mr. Beast cause like, I always knew he had to have a real first name but I was deadass shocked when I found out Jacksepticeye's name is not, in fact, Jack. It's Sean. That threw me off lmao

I have no idea how realistic it is to bottle sauce for shipping but selling it to fans who aren't near LA would be genius.

I love that you were respectful of him as a food service employee. So many people look down on food service employees and it pisses me off. I appreciate people like you ❤️

I hope Jonah's restaurant takes off. Kebabs were always a thing with him and his family. I can imagine how passionate he is with this venture.

I love the cut immediately after “Jonah’s special sauce” where she clearly said something hilarious and had to cut it. I wish I could get a bloopers reel of those moments

I legitimately thought you were going to review Jonah Hill’s new restaurant like I thought it was a picture of him for a second

About the whole not interviewing while he's working. I really agreed with how you handled things. I think if someone wants to interview an owner they should call in first so that the owner can move their schedule so they can accomodate them not working the store. But just showing up to someone's resteraunt and expecting to be able to film them whenever would be super rude.

It's been a running joke in David's vlog that the antonians need to open up a kabob place so it's so heartwarming they got to do it. I have no doubt they're going to work hard, the antonians are very down to earth & back when I was watching David's vlogs I really liked them.

Damn that food looked good. This is one "I tried so you don't have to" that I actually want to try.

I think is more that a “youtuber restaurant” for money. You can tell the Antonyans are passionate about that aspect of their culture and I hope they run a successful family business

Damn, as someone who managed restaurants I'm surprised he was actually there for both days and seems like he genuinely cares if it does well

I think years from now when the Vlogsquad is irrelevant and nobody knows who they are, the restaurant murals will just look like kooky family members or crazy friends. And when he tells the story about the name, it'll just be a funny story. The only thing that really matters is the food. If it's good, it'll create a whole cult of it's own, apart from the Vlogsquad.

I used to be such a huge fan of the vlog squad, but it never sat right with me how much David and his friends would make fun of Jonah and his family. Jonah was always one of my favorites and Im super excited for him, especially after seeing how passionate he seems about the restuarant. Definitely would try his food if I end up in LA.

He called his restaurant Jonah not just cause it’s his nickname but it’s his YouTube channel name and his brand so it’s how people will recognize him. Also I think he probably painted that vlogsquad mural before they got cancelled

as of a year later the restaurant seems to be doing well! 4 stars, good reviews overall, and the photos of the food look delicious.

Being an influencer and working in service at which you’re constantly accessible by the general public is BRAVE even if it’s only for a month or so

the outro was giving me “do you wear wigs, will you wear wigs” interview vibes lol
