What I loved about ark evolved was that it was not quest driven but you could go do advanced things to gain perks . Quest driven games just get so mundane and what my family liked was having to figure out our own little group strategy to capture Dino’s and the freedom to also do your own thing sometimes .

The thing to look out for most about the newest Ark is whether it will be just as buggy as the last one. The gameplay is fun, but the graphics and performance are horrendous and ruin the entire experience. It forces you to avoid playing certain aspects of the game entirely and just throwing it all away eventually.

Look i think its obvious to anyone in the ark community is that ark 2 isnt coming. They lied about the free next gen update and instead charge everyone for each remastered map all over again. Which is slowing being drip fed over several years. They also announced that a new story map will be added to ark 1.5 which anyone who follows the story knows that it's ark 2's story so basically the second game is canceled and they will just keep adding story and make ark 1 bigger.

The developer of this game doesn't have a good track record. they don't listen to the community so I have my expectations very low.

They keep saying ark 2 wont release unless ascended does better. They got it wrong it wont release until snail games is out the picture and dev corruption is purged!

I'm not so sure i like them saying the combat will be souls like.
Soulslike combat is not bad perce.
But for me the charm of ark's combat is using your dino's to win fights. And taking your time to breed powerhouses is rewarded. Versus just dodge rolling, parrying and learning attack patterns

Nothing can beat Ark survival evolved i had 3500+ hours in that game and loved every second of it.

I have a feeling its largely because of the series X and its at this point limiting hardware. Hopefully this doesnt become another CB2077 release but... it very well could be.

Take tethering out and leave nitraado. This game will bank. But force players to buy a server just to play pve without tethering is scummy and will have many of us just not buy it.

Wildcard and Snail Games are running Ark into the ground with pay to win, bad programmers and bad management. I put in so much time on ASE but will not be giving them any more of my money.
