The most common spot for chronic #neckpain to check for adhesion

This location is a “SECRET” location for fixing chronic neck pain because we hardly see any pain doctors or therapists treating THIS SPOT …

… and it’s by far, the most common location we have to check for adhesion to fix our chronic neck pain patients who have all dad pain:

✅ over 6 months
✅ seen at least 3 docs or therapists without relief.

👉 it’s the nerve roots at scalenes

When there’s adhesion here, it can worsen:

➡️ cervical disc herniations down the upper back and shoulders
➡️ tension headaches
➡️ shoulder pain
➡️ hand and finger tingling or numbness

Think of it this way — all of the major nerves in your arms, forearms, hands, and fingers come out of a 1/2” by 5” space.

That’s a very small area for MANY nerves to cross cross and have an opportunity to get stuck.

A nearly certain way for you to find out in the next 60 seconds If you have adhesion here is to:

👉 bend your head away from the side of your neck that’s tight
👉 with your head bent, drop your shoulder down 1/2”

If whatever symptoms you had when bending your head get worse after you drop your shoulder …

… you have a nerve root entrapment at the scalenes by adhesion.

The BEST part about having this problem is you’ll get some % of permanent relief in 3-5 treatments so you know you’re on the right track and won’t waste any time or money trying something that won’t work!

Note: adhesions aren’t actually blue. We just liked that color against his “red” muscles and “yellow” nerves.

It takes a lot of skill to identify and treat such a condition. I like the fact you understand ahesions often need to be removed at some point not just continually stretched to create proper function.

I'll need to speak to my primary care doc about this. I've had it for quite a while. Thank you so much.

This move helped me to an extent. I have Cervical Instabilities coming from C2-C7 disc issues (Bulges, OA growth on the Vertebrea and Facet Joints. T1 and T2 are also corrupted. I have pretty severe Neck Stiffness, but despite much info on the Web, this therapy helped quite a bit Immediately. THX for this. I will subscribe to your channel. My maladies inc;lude my entire spine with multiple sites of Mild to Moderate sites of Stenosis and Dextroscoliosis of 25 Degrees, which IMO was created by my Leg Length Discrepancy of just over 1 " in the right leg. I'm 71 YO, sustained a fractured Right Femur in 1966 playing HS Football. That Trauma which was left unaddressed for over 15 years, has wreaked Havoc with my well being - spinal health.

Yeah.... As a LMT I'm going to say that here, in Ohio, this falls under massage therapy.
It'll be called muscle stripping, and it's part of a style, or type of massage techniques called neuromuscular therapy.

Do we know whats causing the adhesion(s) in the first place. Its great that able to get rid of it, but will it come back?

Thank you for this! As an RMT student, I’m wondering what your client was feeling while you were doing this. Did he have numbness and tingling down his hand? Is that a contraindication or is it OK to move through as that’s happening? Thank you so much. So many clients experiencing this and me as well!

Are you not worried about carotid dissection or the fracturing of a carotid emboli with the manual manipulation of the carotids especially with such high atherosclerosis rates?
