Window Cleaning - Window Washing - Post Construction - Cleanup Tips and Tricks - Clean Windows FAST

In this video I show basic techniques on how to clean Post-Construction windows. These types of windows are especially difficult, because of the amounts of hard matter on the windows. Paint, tape, caulk, cement, etc are all things you run into when cleaning post-constructions windows.

Be especially careful when taking on these jobs, as the amount of risk is much higher. It is PARAMOUNT that you are able to educate the builder, foreman, or home owner about the risks associated with using scrapers, and special tools on glass.

Often, as you clean the glass, scratches will appear, weather it be from the factory, from installers, from workers around the windows, from tempered glass defects, which cause scratches, tint, etc These are all things that can land you in a world of hurt, if not thought through properly.

Overall though, these are my favorite type of windows to clean, as you are usually alone in the house, and cleaning by yourself, jamming to music.

The steps of this process involve,
-wetting the window
-scraping/using abrasives
-wetting the window again
-Finally, squeegeeing the window, and detailing.

Often these windows have large amounts of sand, and dust in the tracks, so using a vacuum is also very helpful and leaves the window looking good.

Never scrape a window that fast people. Easy way to flare the end and ruin your scraper. Not to mention you will scratch glass if it flares or catches on anything. Time is money though mistakes are expensive and they are only easier to make in post construction

Steel wool 0000 grade. You keep using razor blades like that you’re going to scratch up the windows.
