The scales of justice are tilting towards HYBE in the latest legal developments involving K-pop girl group NEW JEANS and its parent label ADOR. In response to New Jeans unilaterally declaring the termination of the remaining five years left on their exclusive contract, ADOR filed a lawsuit to confirm the validity of their agreement. How did ADOR cleverly throw down this reverse UNO card and how did the NEW JEANS members respond?

NEW JEANS Cookie Court Would Be Perfect for JUDGE JUDY

In addition, the Korea Entertainment Producers Association issued a scathing statement against New Jeans. Calling their actions a dangerous threat shaking the core of the K-pop industry, the KEPA wants New Jeans to stop manipulating their contract and enlisting the support of bunny uncles who would help destroy the artist-agency contract. Should New Jeans succeed, would it lead to fewer K-pop groups debuting and the end of the trainee system itself? And how did New Jeans Mama accidentally reveal herself yet again as the not so silent hand behind this cookie drama?

There's a reason why companies and many places has a contract. You can't just go to social media and say ok I'm done with my job 😅😅

Min Hee Jins hanging New Jeans Out to dry. Not sure what her strategy is.

I thinking, hopefully correctly, a world of hurt will be heading their way. The SK court will need to protect contract law, or chaos will happen everywhere, not just KPop.

Finally people are starting to wake up (except rabid rabbits), and really looking at all the ramifications of this public temper tantrum. It is far reaching, and won’t just be forgotten about next week, or next month.

Both parts have to comply with the contract, ador-hybe just wants to run the clock on the contract, i mean their email leak showed what the parent company thinks of NJ

Renunciar públicamente, también debería contar como dañó a la imagen, además de que no han seguido el proceso correspondiente, al no ir a la justicia.

I think it’s about time adore is stepping up to the plate . A contract is a contract. If they don’t want to fulfill their end. They can start shelving the girls and bringing in others to fulfill their end roll. Especially if the girls don’t want to perform under contract.

If ador wins(which im hoping they do) it'll be interesting to see how nj and ador move on

Some bunnies are really buying the whole NJs is brave and will be debuting in another company. So crazy. They must be very immature and not understanding how the real world works.

New Jeans made all the wrong moves. Having two associations speak out against them in the music industry really means no one will try to work with them. Breaking their contracts in bad faith means others will see them as too risky to partner with. Tying themselves to MHJ will also lead others to think it's not worth their time if mhj isn't part of the package and we all know she has her own plans and will leave those girls to save her own skin.

I feel really sorry for these young girls. Isn't it a lot of money for them to break their contract? Like a half a billion dollars? 500 million dollars? That's very insane. So there are five members. That's 100 million each. And maybe there's a bunch of staff that could maybe pay it off as well. So maybe it could be reduced down to 50 million each member. That's still too much?! Only someone like Michael Jackson might be able to afford that when he was in his prime. I feel really sorry for the girls because they are so young that's just too much debt.
