K-POP's FUTURE: NEW JEANS vs ADOR Legal Battle

The scales of justice are tilting towards HYBE in the latest legal developments involving K-pop girl group NEW JEANS and its parent label ADOR. In response to New Jeans unilaterally declaring the termination of the remaining five years left on their exclusive contract, ADOR filed a lawsuit to confirm the validity of their agreement. New Jeans made all the wrong moves. Having two associations speak out against them in the music industry really means no one will try to work with them. Breaking their contracts in bad faith means others will see them as too risky to partner with. Tying themselves to MHJ will also lead others to think it's not worth their time if mhj isn't part of the package and we all know she has her own plans and will leave those girls to save her own skin.

I feel really sorry for these young girls. Isn't it a lot of money for them to break their contract? Like a half a billion dollars? 500 million dollars? That's very insane. So there are five members. That's 100 million each. And maybe there's a bunch of staff that could maybe pay it off as well. So maybe it could be reduced down to 50 million each member. That's still too much?!
