A new-look wheelchair is helping to change lives in East Africa -- where one in every two hundred disabled people has no access to mobility. SafariSeat wheelchairs are made from bicycle parts, which means they're easy to repair. And they have a car-like suspension, making any journey smooth for people in developing nations. Is there a way "change gears" on this wheelchair, even more than just changing your hands' position on the lever? so that one could get farther with less strokes/cranks of the lever even if one had to put more force into a stroke? I'd imagine, that it would be less tiring in flat terrain. Just like on a bicycle.
