for those thinking that it takes too long, keep in mind that they will be wearing it for days at a time, and possibly weeks. the garment is easy to clean and easy to repair, it is just a sheet of cloth. an absolutely excellent piece of clothing for the use it was put to.

I'm British born but I'm Jamaican and always felt like I couldn't access my Scottish heritage because I'm Black but when my grandparents died, our clan colours were found including kilts.
They're so old and beautiful and I want my brothers to wear them when I marry.

For those who do not know, he is wearing a plaid. Plaid is a strip of wool used as a kilt and often slung over the should etc as demonstrated in the video. The plaid has a tartan pattern. Plaid is often referred to as the pattern on the fabric but that is incorrect. The cloth is called a plaid and the pattern is tartan.

That was very interesting! The kilt is actually a very practical and functional garment. Its also a blanket and a coat depending on weather. It can be hiked up to cross a river. Also allows for ease of movement.
