In this lightning talk, learn from Dr. Mable Moore of Xavier University about how the university uses AWS network and application security services to protect against DDoS attacks. After a cybersecurity event and two DDoS attacks, they migrated to running 90% of their critical applications and data in the cloud, including their website and portal, student information system, enterprise resource planning, and backup and recovery solutions for their on-premises and VMware Cloud on AWS systems. Hear how, during a recent DDoS attack, they experienced up to 150 million hits on their website without the site failing.
