At 1:34, Other Projects, I see that the Qt Unit Test is available, but on my QtCreator [ I have Qt Creator 4.7.0-rc1 (4.6.84) community edition, I downloaded the open source Qt ], I do not see thr Qt Unit Test, I only see the other 6 options . What version of QtCreator should I have to see UnitTest ?

I recently installed Qt Creator 5.15.0 on a Windows 10 laptop under the free open source license. I noticed that Desktop GCC 32-bit and Desktop GCC 64-bit were NOT options for installation but is required for many of the Qt QML tutorials including this series. Why was it not available under the open source license and how can I get it for free to learn your tools before investing $459 per month?

So, I tried to run your boxes example but had to choose Desktop Qt 5.15.0 MinGW 64-bit because Desktop GCC 64-bit was NOT available! And, it would not build due to this error:
could not be started (timeout after 10000ms).

I ran your Chart Themes example using the default Desktop Qt 5.15.0 MinGW 32-bit Kit/Compiler which built and ran successfully. So, it seems that some of your examples work correctly under the open source license and some like the Boxes example don't. What is the point of Not offering the Desktop GCC 32-bit / 64-bit Kits/Compilers if you want potential customers to create applications with your product? Even Microsoft offers a free Visual Studio Express and Felgo offers an open source license for Qt to encourage future software developers to learn their products, get a good paying job, who will pay for their IDE products.

I've been using Visual Studio 2017 for simple c/c++ applications. Is there a way to incorporate Qt or the Qt designer into Visual Studio so that I can use Qt as an alternative to the MS Windows GUI tools to makea better looking GUI? If not, is there a way to link a Qt GUI to a program written in VS2017? This is for simple desktop applications. Thank you.

Unbelievable that open documents still not tabbed anno 2018. You have to waste space with an Open documents Window. Except that Qt Creator is a great tool!

Too expensive even for startup plan. QT should revise the fee for individual or personal license. Make it more affordable and cheaper to encourage and help ppl to utilize QT. Developing country and 3rd country personal license need to be cheaper.
